TAM 2280- Apparel Production
TAM 2380- Integrated Apparel design and Production I
In TAM 2280 (Apparel Production), I created a button-up, collared, long-sleeve shirt. I followed a pattern on producing the shirt. The fabric I used was jean and the floral print was cotton.
I designed the back of the shirt. The floral print at the top of the shirt overlap each other. Then, slowly at the bottom, the back opens up a little more.
This image is a close up of how the style of the back really looks.
This drawing is part of my final project for TAM 2380 (Integrated Apparel Design and Production I). I was inspired by the Medieval style and the 70's fun look. I created this evening gown which is sexy/playful.
This image shows how the gown would fit a person. I do not have the sleeves finished in this image. I just wanted to show the customers the appearance of how the front fit the bust.
I used an invisible zipper to give the side of the gown a clean finish. Everything matches up very well. Easy to get in and out of the gown.
This image really shows off the whole gown. Velvet and Satin were fabrics used on the gown. It is also lined inside to give the gown a beautiful finish.
TAM 2480- Apparel and Textiles Presentation
I looked at these images from the 9Heads textbook. Then, drew and shaded my drawings to produce these outfits.

This is my mood board from my final project in TAM 2480 (Apparel and Textile Presentation Techniques). The mood board shows the many things I was inspired by. The top of the board also shows my color-way for the project.
My illustration board shows the outfits I designed for my Medieval 70's collection. The more casual outfits were inspired by the peasant look of the Medieval times. Then, I added in a little 70's twist. The gown shows the more wealthy side of the Medieval times. (This gown was produced in my TAM 2380 class).
TAM 2580- Digital Textiles and Apparel Applications
The complex color blends are a type of digital print. I created this pattern on a computer software called Photoshop. Then, I copy and pasted the pattern into Illustrator and labeled the color-way.
I found this feather image online. I resized some feathers, colored the feathers on Photoshop. Then I repeated the pattern to get this pattern. I made the patterns with two different color-ways.
For this image based pattern, I found the elephant image online. I brought the image into Photoshop, multiplied the elephant image, changed the colors of the elephants, rotated them in different directions, and used a half drop repeat. I have two different color-ways for these images.
The stripe design is repeating a stripe pattern. I added in triangular shapes by using Photoshop. This added a little extra to the basic stripe design.

For this repeat design using a vector images, I made my own images. The images are weird diamonds that are overlapping each other. Some of the diamonds opacity level was lowered. Then I repeated the pattern.

The repeat design with brush palette is using the brush palette tool in Photoshop to make a pattern. This is the pattern I created. Then, I repeated the image and this is my finished design.

I produced an engineered print by using an image of a sunset and a graffiti skull head. I distorted the pictures, and changed the opacity on Photoshop. Then, I took flat images from the computer program, Optitex, and put my engineered print into the dress.
I produced an engineered print by using an image of mountains in Michigan and stain glass window. I distorted the pictures, and changed the opacity on Photoshop. Then, I took flat images from the computer program, Optitex, and put my engineered print into the top.
In my TAM 2580 class. Our final project was to create a sportswear clothing line for a company called Wear It To Heart. My theme was called Latino Lux. Our teacher provided the class with a mood board. I decided to create my own. These images are what I'm inspired by.
I also created this Latino Lux inspiration board. I wanted to show what I was inspired by. The color-way at the bottom of the page was the given color-way that I have used throughout the final project.
The repeat design was inspired by mexican tile. I made a checkerboard image on Photoshop, copied it into different layers, changed some of the opacities, and rotated the images in different directions. I created two different color-ways.
The repeat design was inspired by Vera Bradley. I made an "X" image on Photoshop, copied it into different layers, changed some of the opacities, rotated the images in different directions, and put my floral pattern into the "X" images. I created two different color-ways.
I used a photo of my mother's lace table cloth from our dining room and made copies of the image in different layers on Photoshop. After that, I colored the different images, repeated this weird pattern all over the page and produced this image.
Then, I retrieved a flat image of the sports bra from Optitex and pasted into the flat the print I had made.
I opened my engineered print through Optitex, sized the sports bra to fit the model, and readjusted the print on the sports bra.
I used a photo of a Mizzou building and made copies of the image in different layers on Photoshop. After that, I colored the different images, repeated this weird pattern all over the page and produced this image.
Then, I retrieved a flat image of the top from Optitex and pasted into the flat the print I had made.
The Optitex didn't have a model of the top. Therefore, I took I picture from the website, Wear It To Heart, then pasted the print into the top through photoshop.
I used a photo of tree bark and made copies of the image in different layers on Photoshop. After that, I colored the different images, placed the images in the shape of an "X". Some parts are overlapping others, made sure the middle of the design made a "V" and produced this image.
Then, I retrieved a flat image of the pants from Optitex and pasted into the flat the print I had made.
I opened my engineered print through Optitex, sized the pants to fit the model, and readjusted the print on the pants.
